Ingredients
1 cup raw walnuts
4 cups filtered water + more water for soaking
½teaspoonground cinnamon
1-2 tablespoonmaple syrup optional
Instructions
Soak walnuts in water(not the filtered water listed in ingredients) for 8 hours or overnight. Drain and rinse.
Combine walnuts and filtered water in blender. Blend until walnuts have broken down completely and look creamy.
Pour blended milk through a sieve, cheese cloth, nut milk bag or a clean lint free towel or cloth napkin over a bowl. Fold up towel around the blended mixture and gently squeeze cloth to release milk into bowl. Discard remaining pulp in bag or save it for another use like adding to muffin mixes or smoothies.
Stir in salt, cinnamon and maple syrup. Whisk together well to incorporate.
Transfer milk to a container that seals and chill in the fridge until cold. Keeps in the fridge for 3-4 days.
