How to Make Coconut Bacon
A simple and straight forward how to guide for making coconut bacon. A great vegan alternative perfect for sandwiches, salads, and so much more.

tbsp
reduced sodium soy sauce, tamari, or coconut aminos
1
tbsp
maple syrup
1
teaspoon
smoked paprika
1
teaspoon
liquid smoke
ΒΌ
tsp
black pepper

cups
flaked coconut
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a small bowl combine all ingredients except for coconut. Stir to thoroughly incorporate.
Place coconut in a large bowl.
Pour the liquid ingredients over coconut and stir to throughly coat all coconut.
Spread in an even layer on baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes stirring every 5 minutes or so to ensure coconut cooks evenly.
Allow to cool completely and store in airtight container.
