Naturally sweetened and slightly tart, this Cranberry Apple Smoothie is great for a quick healthy boost of energy. Perfect for the busy holiday season!
Thanksgiving is behind us and the Christmas rush is officially on! This time of year can get seriously busy with never ending to do lists and plenty of celebrations and activities for the kids. If like me, you're looking for a little boost of healthy energy to keep you and the kids going through these jam packed days, then you'll love this Cranberry Apple Smoothie. It's full of delicious, healthy fruits and naturally sweetened so you'll get a boost of energy without the sugar crash later.
This smoothie only requires a few simple ingredients and is ready in minutes. It's naturally sweetened with ripe banana and a touch of maple syrup that doesn't take away all the delicious tartness of the cranberries. A little cinnamon adds to the winter coziness and pairs perfectly with the flavor of the apples and berries.

I just love the ruby red color of cranberries! Besides being festive and pretty to look at, these little berries are super nutritious. They're high in fiber, antioxidants and loaded with vitamin C, which is great for this time of year when cold and flu germs are everywhere. With school age kids, I'm all for getting plenty of nutrients in their little bodies to keep them and the rest of the family healthy. And the best part, they don't mind because it's so tasty. All three of my little ones happily sip this one, even my middle one, who is not so much a fan of smoothies.

- 1 cup cranberries fresh or frozen
- ½ of 1 sweet apple - peeled, if desired. I used gala.
- 1 medium very ripe banana, frozen
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 ½ cup non dairy milk
- 1-2 tablespoon maple syrup optional
Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Excellent smoothie, skipped the maple syrup, fruit allows for just enough sweetness. Adding this to my smoothie rotation!
