Cool and refreshing, this Creamy Vegan Lemonade Smoothie is the perfect way to beat the summer heat!
Summer is here and it is hot outside! I hope you are all finding ways to keep cool if you live somewhere warm. We're staying cool with plenty of fruit, popsicles and smoothies. Our favorite at the moment is this Creamy Vegan Lemonade Smoothie. So good! It's a little sweet, a little tart and perfectly creamy and refreshing. Perfect for cooling off on a hot day.
This smoothie is made with just 5 ingredients and is naturally sweetened. Frozen banana for creaminess and sweetness, lemon juice and zest for that lemony flavor, frozen almond milk for coolness and a touch of maple syrup for extra sweetness.
We think the recipe as written is just right, but you can adjust the amounts to suit your tastes, of course. Like it a bit more tart, add more lemon juice and zest or a little sweeter, add a bit of maple syrup.
You can also add an unflavored or vanilla protein powder to make this smoothie more substantial and nutrient packed. This is something I do with my youngest, on the advice of her doctor, since we are going through a picky stage and many foods are a no-go with her.

Creamy Vegan Lemonade Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup non dairy milk, frozen into cubes I use almond milk.
- 4-6 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoon maple syrup optional
- ¼ - ½ cup non dairy milk
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
