How was your Fourth of July? Full of happiness, fun, and good food I hope. My day was peaceful and relaxing because I had the house to all to myself. Yes, I chose not to partake in the festivities and instead stayed home for a bit of rest and relaxation. My husband took the kids over to his mom’s and gave me a much needed break. Don’t get me wrong, my babies are my whole life, but it definitely gets tiring at times, particularly now that school’s out for summer. It’s not always easy to find activities to keep them entertained and happy, especially on those rainy afternoons Florida is so well known for. They would much rather be outside playing so when the rain makes that impossible there is usually some serious whininess going on. After a few days of that, mama needs a break!
So, while I had my free time I finally reorganized my closet that has so desperately needed it for months now, cleaned out a couple of junk drawers, and washed the laundry. I know, I know that doesn’t sounded relaxing, but organizing and cleaning are stress relievers for me. Really, who doesn’t feel awesome after cleaning out a closet? My whole day wasn’t cleaning though, I did take a little time to watch tv too and sip on my new favorite drink, this Strawberry Limeade Smoothie.
So, what do I love about this smoothie? It’s cool, refreshing, perfectly creamy, and of course tastes great. Made with just 4 ingrdeients you probably already have on hand. It’s just what you need to beat the summer heat.

i tried this and it was disgusting. too sour, too bitter, flavorless, and just kinda awful. would not make this again.

I'm wondering if your strawberries weren't the problem. If you are in the US, berries are not in season this time of year so they will be more sour, bitter and flavorless. Also, additional sweetener would have helped.
