How to make Hoisin Tofu and Green Beans
This dish is simple and straightforward with little prep and less than an hour needed. Which makes it perfect for days when there isn't much time to get dinner on the table.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Toss cubed tofu with cornstarch and oil. Spread in a single layer on baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, vegetable broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic and cornstarch. Set aside.

Heat oil over medium high heat in a wok or skillet. Add green beans. Cook stirring occasionally until tender, but crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Transfer beans to a dish. Wipe out skillet.

Add sauce to skillet, simmer until thickened, about 1 minute. Add baked tofu and green beans to sauce, toss to evenly coat. Serve with rice, if desired.
Top Tip
Don't skip pressing the water from the tofu. Removing as much water as possible will help the tofu crisp up faster. You can use a tofu press or wrap tofu in a tea towel and place something heavy on top for 10-15 minutes. If you're short on time there is pre-pressed tofu available so you can skip this step.
Equipment
No special equipment is needed to make this recipe. Basic kitchen tools such as bowls, measuring cups and spoons and a skillet are all you need. You will also need access to a stove top or portable burner and an oven or air fryer.

Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in a microwave or in a skillet over medium heat.
This dish is best enjoyed fresh. We don't recommend freezing.
